MobileAware Completes Multi-Country Mobile Service Delivery Solution for Digicel

Solution Supports Digicel’s Rapid Growth in Caribbean and South America

3GSM World Congress, Barcelona, 12 February 2007 - MobileAware, the world’s leading provider of Mobile Service Infrastructure, today announced that in partnership with Ericsson, it has completed the design and implementation of a mobile content delivery solution for Digicel, the fastest growing mobile operator in the Caribbean. The multi-country, multi-language solution provides Digicel with a single platform for the management and delivery of mobile content, and can be easily customized and rolled out to Digicel’s 22 markets in line with the company’s rapid expansion in the Caribbean and South and Central America. Digicel will initially roll out the solution to Trinidad and Tobago and the French West Indies in early 2007, and plans further regional deployments throughout 2007.

Digicel Live was specifically designed to provide a reusable mobile content delivery framework that allows Digicel to manage the entire lifecycle of content and services, from Content Providers to Subscribers. Digicel Live functionality includes:

  • Easy-to-Use Administration Portal –Digicel manages all facets of the content delivery process directly from a Web-based Administration Portal. Portal functionality includes the ability to add/remove/update content and content providers, modify pricing information, run usage statistics reports, initiate content searches, add revenue-generating features such as rollover promotions and special offers, track subscriber behaviour patterns and manage a wide range of mobile devices.
  • Localized Mobile Content Portals – Digicel provides a central repository of mobile data services from which regional Digicel operators can choose to populate their local mobile portal. Subscribers are only presented with content and services that are relevant to their local market and device capabilities.
  • Flexible Content Provider Portal – A flexible, Web-based architecture allows Digicel Content Providers to easily manage and upload content, edit and update profiles, generate content metadata and view and monitor download statistics. Digicel can also add new Content Providers in a matter of minutes, ensuring regular delivery of the latest feature-rich mobile data services to all countries.
  • Personalized Content Discovery & Download Environment – Digicel dynamically generates a personalized view of mobile services according to the subscriber’s device capabilities as well as demographic and subscriber profiles. Content can be discovered and downloaded via multiple channels, including Web, WAP and SMS and is tailored for optimized presentation on any mobile device.
  • Customer Self-Care Functionality – My Digicel Live offers a range of self-care features via a customer feedback module, which includes profile management, self-registration and a customer feedback forum.
  • Multi-language Support – Digicel mobile content is currently available in French and English. Support for additional languages can be managed within 24 hours.
