Dublin, Ireland, July 21, 2005 - MobileAware, a leading provider of mobile business solutions, today announced it has secured another new customer win. Digicel, the fastest growing mobile operator in the Caribbean, has chosen MobileAware to deliver a wide variety of mobile content to subscribers in the Caribbean region. The services, which will range from news, weather and sports updates, to downloadable ringtones and wallpapers, will initially be rolled out to subscribers in Trinidad and Tobago, with possible future rollouts to reach all of Digicel’s more than 1 million customers throughout the Caribbean islands. Digicel joins a growing list of mobile operators including Telstra (Australia), Mobitel (Slovenia) and China Mobile, who are building their mobile portals using MobileAware technology. The Digicel solution will also feature products from MobileAware’s key partners, BEA Systems and Ericsson. “Mobile operators have a great opportunity to win the customers’ hearts right now by offering exciting, personalized services accessible through their device of choice,” commented Kevin McCloskey, CEO at MobileAware. “Digicel’s forthcoming offering of a wide array of rich mobile data services will provide them with a strong competitive advantage to further strengthen their leadership position in the Caribbean market.” MobileAware’s Mobile Interaction Server and Mobile Content Proxy enable operators to deliver advanced mobile services by performing real-time, device-aware content manipulation and delivering that content to end users in the most visually appealing format possible for each particular mobile device. Mobile Interaction Server offers a non-proprietary software environment for creating and delivering highly attractive mobile services that are accessible from a single, customizable content discovery location. Mobile Content Proxy allows both operators and content providers to rapidly upgrade the presentation of internal and external mobile content, encouraging a higher adoption rate by making existing mobile services more attractive and easier to use.
